Hey, readers! It’s been too long, and you deserve an update. If you’ve been reading for awhile, you may know that I was married on May 28th this year! It’s been a great month and a half, but I’ve been seriously slacking in the blogging department. After 2 weeks away from home for the wedding and honeymoon, then a trip to New Mexico a couple weeks later, I’m finally starting to feel settled back into normal life.
Rest assured, there is so much goodness on the way! I have a stockpile of things to show you- there is plenty of beauty on the horizon. My next few posts will feature some limited-edition items that may no longer be available for purchase, but at the very least will be a healthy dose of makeup porn!
Thank you for your patience and loyalty! Lovely by LeAnn is back with a vengeance ❤️
Okay, I know I’m showing my age when I reference viral videos from a few months ago as if they’re still topical ?. I just couldn’t pass up that title!
It puts me in a good mood to get a great deal on makeup. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of BOGO 50% off drugstore lipsticks, but it still gives me a thrill to find luxury beauty on a Maybelline budget.
With the fast-approaching arrival of Urban Decay’s new Alice in Wonderland launch (coming May 2nd), some of the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani products went on sale to clear shelf space for all the newness headed our way. Amongst the clearance were the lipsticks, liners, blush palette, and brow powder duo. As far as I’m aware, the eyeshadow palette will remain on shelves, at least for a while.
Since I had already purchased a couple of the products, I picked up the two lipsticks that I’d been eyeing since the second part of the Gwen Stefani collab launched.
The Peach Palette craze has been REAL around here, you guys! ??? Clients ask for it every day, even though my local Sephora (and Ulta too, I think) isn’t scheduled to receive any more. Is that to say we’ll never see it again? Not at all!
I have full faith behind the idea that there will be more produced, or that the palette will be made all-together permanent. A little like Champagne Pop, if you will! ?
If you haven’t heard of Charlotte Olympia’s line before, she is a British shoe and accessory designer who’s collections are very reminiscent of pin-up and Hollywood glamour. Her collaboration with MAC included these two lipsticks, amongst other things, in a gorgeous (no surprise) special packaging!
I ordered Leading Lady Red and Starlett Scarlet when they launched and received them a couple days later, but I haven’t been able to review them because the swelling in my lips after the injections made it impossible to wear lipsticks this last week.
After the way I gushed about Guerlain’s Holiday Meteorites, you can probably tell how obsessed I am with them. I did, after all, mention that I collect them, and I have to say that my collection is growing quite nicely!
What’s not to love about meteorites? Let’s be real – there’s nothing more luxurious than using a product that incorporates ‘Stardust Technology’ into its formula!
What is Stardust Technology? The brand says that it’s a pigment encapsulating a diamond powder. Knowing that, it’s almost easy to justify the price point! ?
Not to mention, each meteorite Pearl is hand-formed, and only four people in the world know how to make them.
Meteorites aren’t just makeup, they’re little collectible pieces of luxury, meant to adorn a counter or vanity like the fine art they are.
Now that I’ve waxed poetic about them enough, let’s discuss the latest iteration: Guerlain Carousel Meteorites Pearls for Summer 2016!
You know the drill! Now that I’ve had a whole month to test out the Sephora Play! box from February, it’s time to share my findings with you all.
I’m quite excited about what February had to offer, (and looking forward to my March box, but hello.. it’s the 21st – why isn’t it here already?) and had lots of fun playing with the unusual amount of color products in this month’s curation.
Let’s start with the Tom Ford Black Orchid fragrance and work clockwise, shall we?
This evening, I sat down to write a review of February’s Play! box, when I realized that I promised you all a review of this highlighting stick during last month’s Play! review. Now, I shall deliver!
Chubby Sticks are a family of products made by Clinique that come in the form of – you guessed it – chubby sticks. The range includes lipsticks, eyeshadows, a foundation, and new for Spring, contour and highlighter sticks! I have the latter to share with you all today.
The partnership continues! In case you missed it, I reviewed the Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette after its December launch, and this blush palette is my newest purchase from the Urban/Gwen collaboration.
