Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit – Koko K

Welcome to Part 1 of the 6 part series! During a recent restock of Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits, I was finally able get my hands on ALL SIX! I’ve been so excited to share them with you all, and now, the time has come.

For those of you who haven’t been following the madness associated with Lip Kits by Kylie, they were nearly impossible to get when they launched (and for the next couple of restocks after). They sell out in mere minutes each time, but – spoiler alert! – are well worth the wait.

What’s with this liquid lipstick trend anyway? If you haven’t hopped on board the bandwagon yet, you should! The appeal these formulas offer is that they glide on like glosses, dry down to a comfortable matte finish, and stay put for hours. The Lip Kits by Kylie come with not only a liquid lip color, but a coordinating liner as well, all for $29/kit.

I’d like to start out with one of the newer shades, called Koko K. I almost never wear nudes, but this one is so gorgeous! It doesn’t wash my ghostly visage out even more, and the pinkness is still neutral enough to wear with anything. Walking into work wearing this for the first time, I was greeted with instant compliments.

The color is unique, wears evenly, and is neutral enough to wear with any eye look, be it a defined cat eye or dark smoky shadow.

The formula is truly the star of the show, though!

It’s thin. It’s buttery. It’s smooth. It’s hydrating.

The best part? It glides over my Sahara desert lips seamlessly, tackling those flakes like they don’t even exist! BOOM!

And that’s just the liquid lipstick. The liner is a silent hero here. With dimethicone as the primary ingredient, it has a super smooth texture that makes it a breeze to line (or overline, if that floats your boat) even the most textured of lips.

Koko K is a must have. According to Kylie’s Snapchat, a restock is coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled! And stay tuned to the blog as well – I have a big surprise coming at the end of this series! See you all soon!
